The Al-Baha branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture concluded its 15th pomegranate festival on 18 October. The five-day event included 50 local pomegranate farmers and 10 cottage-industry families presenting pomegranate-based products.
The branch director said sales of pomegranates exceeded 60 tonnes. The festival also provided agricultural awareness and extension activities. SPA did not give a sales value or say how much of the reported volume was sold directly to consumers versus other buyers.
