Story details
Environment Minister Abdulrahman Al-Fadley launched a farmer training-package initiative on 19 October with the National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah) and Saudi Reef Academy. Estidamah is to develop training content from research and technical expertise, while the academy will turn it into packages for delivery in targeted regions.
The stated focus is improved farming practice, efficient use of water and other resources, and adoption of modern methods. Estidamah also reported cooperation agreements with SABIC Agri-Nutrients and NSG Geospatial Services, plus a memorandum with Qassim University; the SPA report did not disclose funding, rollout dates or the regions selected for training.
