Story details

The Democratic Republic of the Congo’s Ministry of External Trade posted a price bulletin on 7 October for principal export products during 5–10 October 2026. The National Price Bulletin Commission says its reference prices are intended to support market transparency and inform economic operators.

In the bulletin graphic, the copper quotation moves from US$14,649.30 per tonne to US$14,601.60/t, while cobalt moves from US$39,086/t to US$38,754/t. The ministry marks both entries as declining.

The same graphic shows gold moving from US$141.46 to US$138.48 per gram and tantalum concentrate from US$28,365.61 to US$28,353.36/t. These are bulletin benchmarks, not confirmed transaction prices or export receipts.

The bulletin gives no quantities or transaction volumes, so the short-period price changes do not establish a change in production or export revenue. The listed values are reference quotations for the stated 5–10 October period.
