Story details

Russia’s Finance Ministry reported oil and gas revenue of RUB 5,471 billion for January–September 2026 in a preliminary estimate published on 9 October. It put total federal budget revenue for the same period at RUB 29,639 billion.

Non-oil and gas revenue was RUB 24,168 billion, while federal budget expenditure was RUB 34,825 billion. These are preliminary execution estimates for the nine-month period, not a final full-year account.

The release separates oil and gas revenue from other federal revenue categories. The figures describe budget-accounting flows; they are not measures of oil or gas production, export volumes or company sales.

The ministry may revise the estimates later. RUB 5,471 billion should therefore be read as the preliminary figure for this period, rather than as a monthly revenue trend or a year-end result.
