Story details

The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE) said inspections conducted with other government entities had found cases of diesel stored or traded at unlicensed facilities, as well as transport using methods that did not meet approved requirements. The council oversees petroleum-products trading across storage, transport, distribution and supply in Dubai, under the emirate’s Resolution No. 85 of 2025.

DSCE said compliance includes valid licences and permits, approved product specifications, authorised facilities and transport, inspection and maintenance, staff training, safe operating procedures and records showing product sources and movements. Its permanent joint field team has conducted 449 LPG-sector inspection campaigns since it began operating in July 2022; the council also described targeted monitoring of diesel and liquefied petroleum gas.
