Emirates News Agency reported on 5 October that EMSTEEL Group had been reappointed for a second term as co-chair of the Alliance for Industry Decarbonisation (AFID). The reappointment was announced during New York Climate Week 2026. AFID is led by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), and EMSTEEL will share the co-chair role with BASF.
