The Water Diplomacy Center at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) launched a regional training workshop in Ramtha on 5 October, the Jordan News Agency Petra reported. The program is scheduled through 14 October and brings together specialists and representatives from countries participating in the Blue Peace Middle East initiative. Petra described its focus as transboundary climate diplomacy, climate-resilient integrated water resources management, disaster-risk reduction and nature-based solutions.
The workshop is organized under the Blue Peace Middle East Capacity Development Project, with support from the Swiss government through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. The reported agenda addresses regional capacity to respond to climate change impacts on shared water resources. Petra did not report agreements between participating countries, funding amounts, specific water projects or measured changes in water availability or climate resilience.
