Story details
Rostselmash and Severstal signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the Agrosalon exhibition, according to a Rostselmash release dated 7 October. The work is focused on road-building and agricultural machinery and is set to cover engineering from mathematical modelling and parameter optimization through metalworking choices and finished products. The source says the companies had cooperated since 2020.
The memorandum envisages broader use in Rostselmash equipment of high-strength POWERS steels and Steelazer steel designed for laser cutting. At Agrosalon, Rostselmash showed its H820 combine, whose key load-bearing elements use cold-formable Powerform and thick-plate structural Powerweld steels. The partners describe productivity and ownership-cost improvements as aims; the release provides no measured savings, output change, prices or contract value.
