Qatar’s Public Works Authority, Ashghal, said on 7 October 2026 that it had re-awarded the remaining eight delayed roads and infrastructure projects to new contractors, in preparation for work to resume. The authority said the packages cover areas serving around 6,360 residential plots.
The list includes road works in Al Kharaitiyat and Izghawa, Al Kheesa North and East–Rawdat Al Hamama, Al Meshaf West, Al Mearad and Muaither Southwest, and Al Sheehaniya, as well as a main sewer connection and a treated-effluent pipeline. Ashghal said the first package is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2027. The plot figure describes the areas covered, and the date is a schedule; neither establishes that the works are complete.
