Story details

The Central Bank of Egypt reported provisional net international reserves of US$57,348.2 million at the end of September 2026. Its August-end release reported US$57,214.5 million, making the September figure US$133.7 million higher by calculation.

The September notice gives the aggregate reserve total and labels it provisional; it does not break down the components or explain the month-to-month movement. The figure describes the stock at month-end, rather than a flow of new financing during September.
