Sharjah utility reports 870 new water connections in Q3
SEWA said it completed 870 connections for new water applications in the third quarter, including 304 commercial and 290 residential-villa connections.
Sharjah’s SEWA reported that its Water Department completed connections for 870 new applications in the third quarter of 2026. The announcement was carried by the Emirates News Agency on 9 October and attributed the figures to Faisal Al Serkal, head of SEWA’s Water Department.
SEWA said 304 connections were for commercial customers and 290 for residential villas; another 141 were for industrial customers. It also listed temporary structures, government buildings, agricultural facilities and other categories without giving separate totals for them. These are reported new connections during the quarter, not a count of all customers or water volumes supplied.
ODRÉ’s 10 October data refresh lists September deliveries of 1.800 TWh to chemicals, 1.361 TWh to refining and petrochemicals, 0.800 TWh to metallurgy and 2.032 TWh to centralized power generation.
