Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Energy said the 8th meeting of the Azerbaijan-UK Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation took place in Baku on 6 October. Discussions covered several fields, including energy, transport and digital infrastructure.
The ministry reported that four documents on green energy, transport links and urban mobility were signed at the meeting. It listed agreements on the Interocean-Green Line Shipping joint venture, the Chapman Taylor-PMD Development project, and two Xlinks memoranda of understanding concerning the Central Asia-Azerbaijan Green Corridor. The sides also adopted a 2026–2027 Action Plan with more than 60 actions across 10 areas.
The ministry said Azerbaijan aims to reach a final investment decision on the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Green Energy Corridor by 2029. The target and cooperation documents describe plans and arrangements; the announcement does not say that a new corridor has been built or begun transmitting energy.
