Story details

ScottishPower said on 8 October that customers using its Power Saver offer had collectively saved more than £24 million over two years. The company said nearly 600,000 homes were signed up.

The offer lets customers choose eight hours of cheaper electricity at selected times during the week. ScottishPower says the flexible schedule is intended to let households move some electricity use into discounted periods.

The savings and enrolment totals are company-reported figures. The release does not provide a household-by-household distribution, so the total should not be read as a typical or guaranteed saving for an individual customer.

This is a company update about its UK customer programme, not an independent measurement of household bills. The offer’s terms and actual outcomes depend on customer participation and tariff use. The release presents an aggregate programme total, not an average per home.
