Story details
Khazna Data Centers published its first standalone environmental, social and governance report on 6 October. The report covers the 2025 calendar year and describes the figures as a baseline for future reporting. The release places the disclosure in the context of growing demand for artificial-intelligence infrastructure.
Khazna reported that carbon-free electricity covered 27% of the electricity used for its mechanical cooling load in 2025, using a combination of onsite solar generation and certified clean-energy instruments. The company aims to raise that share of its mechanical load to 50% by 2030 and 100% by 2035.
The measure is limited to mechanical cooling electricity; it does not mean that carbon-free sources supplied 27% of all Khazna facility electricity. Clean-energy procurement is identified by the company as a central part of its decarbonisation approach for data-centre operations.
