Story details
Azerbaijan’s State Statistical Committee published an overview of key macroeconomic indicators on October 9. It put January–September gross domestic product at AZN102.05 billion and reported real growth of 1.5% against the same period of 2025. The release separates oil-and-gas output from the non-oil-and-gas economy and includes indicators measured over different periods.
Oil-and-gas GDP was AZN30.33 billion, down 1.2% in real terms year on year. Non-oil-and-gas GDP reached AZN71.72 billion, up 2.6%. Industrial output totaled AZN51.18 billion and declined 0.8%, while non-oil-and-gas industry reached AZN16.56 billion and grew 5.4%. These are reported values and real growth rates for the first nine months.
The table also records January–September increases in transport and storage services of 10.0%, information and communications of 11.1%, retail turnover of 3.8%, and fixed-capital investment of 10.9%. Consumer prices were 5.7% higher over January–September than a year earlier. Other rows use January–August data or balances as of September 30, so they are not directly comparable with the nine-month GDP figures.
The overview is a broad statistical snapshot, not a full monthly release for every indicator. It reports aggregates rather than company-level results and does not explain causal drivers. The committee’s figures show slower oil-and-gas activity alongside expansion in non-oil-and-gas GDP and industry, while the varying reference periods should be retained when using the accompanying fiscal, trade and financial measures.
