Story details
Industrial exports from Jordan reached JD5.17 billion in the first seven months of 2026, up 7.3% from JD4.82 billion in the same period a year earlier, according to Jordan Chamber of Industry data reported by Petra on October 3. The chamber said the increase amounted to JD350 million. The figures concern industrial exports tracked by the chamber, not all national exports.
Nine of ten industrial sectors recorded growth, the chamber said. Chemicals and cosmetics led with JD1.207 billion, compared with JD1.065 billion in January–July 2025. Garments and leather reached JD1.064 billion, while engineering, electrical and information-technology exports totaled JD881 million, up from JD871 million. Food, agriculture and livestock exports increased to JD619 million from about JD543 million.
Construction-industry exports rose to about JD173 million from JD107 million, and plastics and rubber exports increased to JD126 million from JD106 million. Mining was the only declining sector in the chamber’s account, slipping to JD635 million from JD640 million. The spread across industries suggests that the overall change was not attributed to a single product category.
The data were prepared by the chamber’s Department of Studies and Policies. Petra did not provide a full sector-by-sector time series or an independent methodology review. The comparison covers seven months in 2026 against the corresponding months of 2025; it should not be read as a full-year result or as a government customs release.
