Story details

Industrial exports recorded by the Irbid Chamber of Industry reached $99.8 million in September 2026, up 10.5% from $90.3 million a year earlier, according to chamber data reported by Petra on October 1. The figures describe exports handled by the chamber’s member base and facilities, not all output from Jordan’s northern governorate or national exports.

The chamber issued 1,391 certificates of origin during the month, a 4.9% increase from 1,326 in September 2025. Garments and leather products dominated at $87.2 million. Food and agriculture contributed $5.18 million, medical and pharmaceutical supplies $3.16 million, and chemicals and cosmetics $2.93 million, with the balance across engineering, plastics, construction and packaging.

The United States was the largest named destination at $72.9 million, followed by Germany at $3.86 million, Saudi Arabia at $2.11 million and the Netherlands at $2 million. The Al-Hasan Industrial Estate generated $95.3 million, while Cyber City accounted for $4.1 million and the chamber’s main office $430,000.

These are one-month chamber figures compared with September 2025, not seasonally adjusted or government customs statistics in the Petra report. The source provides no methodology for coverage or valuation. The chamber director said it was working with public bodies and partners to seek new markets, but the report gives no quantified export target or evidence that those efforts have already changed trade flows.
