Brazil’s Cemaden published its daily briefing to Cenad at 09:25 on 10 October. It forecast moderate to heavy showers in northern Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná, as well as locally strong afternoon rain in Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, São Paulo, southern Minas Gerais and south-central Rio de Janeiro.

The briefing flagged localized landslide risk in western Santa Catarina, Zona da Mata in Minas Gerais, eastern São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. It also noted already elevated gauge levels in the Uruguay basin, from Otacílio Costa upstream to São Borja, Itaqui and Uruguaiana downstream, and expected further rises on 11–13 October. These were forecasts and risks, not reports of outages or damage.
