Story details
Petra reported on 10 October that members of the Association of Owners of Clearance and Transport Companies processed 808,866 customs declarations across Jordan during the first nine months of 2026, covering all customs statuses. The association said firms completed the required procedures at the Kingdom’s customs and border centers. Aqaba’s customs directorate recorded 183,934 declarations, followed by Al-Omari with 174,415 and airport clearance offices in Amman and Zizya with 123,456.
The association’s figures also list 75,207 declarations at Amman Customs, 67,470 at Jaber, 48,856 at Zarqa Free Zone Customs and 35,037 at the e-commerce customs center; the remainder was assigned to other centers. The figures measure processed declarations, not shipment weight or trade value. Petra said the association based its statistics on official figures.
