OMIE sets Portugal’s day-ahead power average at €141.49/MWh for 11 October
OMIE’s file posted on 10 October lists 96 quarter-hour prices for Portuguese-zone delivery on 11 October: an average of €141.49/MWh, a €0.51 low and a €241.59 high.
OMIE’s file directory shows that its Portuguese-zone day-ahead price file for 11 October was posted at 13:43 on 10 October. It lists 96 market periods of 15 minutes each for electricity delivery the following day. The arithmetic average across the periods is €141.49/MWh; the minimum was €0.51/MWh in periods 61–63, and the maximum was €241.59/MWh in period 80. This is the price profile cleared in the day-ahead market before the delivery day began.
These are wholesale market results for Portugal’s bidding zone, not household or business retail bills. Retail charges depend on tariffs, network fees, taxes and supplier contracts. OMIE publishes prices by period and reports an arithmetic daily average for each zone. The file therefore does not describe one price that every customer will pay on 11 October; it records matched market prices for successive 15-minute delivery intervals.
