Power outage at Pirenópolis intake affects water supply
Saneago reported on 10 October that a power loss at Pirenópolis's water intake had affected supply since the previous evening, 9 October, and that it installed a temporary generator; recovery will be gradual.
Saneago said the water intake in Pirenópolis had been without electricity since the evening of 9 October, potentially disrupting supply in the city. The company installed a generator at the site to operate until grid power is restored.
Saneago said the system is expected to normalize gradually as distribution pipes and reservoirs refill, and that upper districts may take longer to recover fully. The operator urged residents to avoid wasting water stored in household tanks.
ODRÉ’s 10 October data refresh lists September deliveries of 1.800 TWh to chemicals, 1.361 TWh to refining and petrochemicals, 0.800 TWh to metallurgy and 2.032 TWh to centralized power generation.
