Story details

The Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program (Saudi Reef) said it handed five development projects in beekeeping and honey production to the Reef National Foundation on 19 October. The projects, valued at more than SAR48.2 million, are due to launch in several regions of Saudi Arabia.

The program said the initiative is intended to raise domestic bee-product output, support beekeepers and develop marketing and value chains. The handover is complete, but SPA did not identify the five project locations, their individual budgets or production targets, and did not report that the projects had begun operating.
