The third Unaizah Camel Auction was under way in Qassim Region when SPA reported on it on 19 October. The eight-day event began the preceding Thursday, 15 October, and brings camel owners, traders and visitors to the auction district.
SPA described the district as covering 1.2 million square metres and said its facilities support buying and selling, local tourism and cottage-industry vendors. The report gave no auction turnover, number of camels traded or participant count, so it does not establish the scale of commercial transactions.
