Story details

Americore Resources announced on 28 October that drilling was scheduled to begin that week at the Trinity Silver Project in Pershing County, Nevada. The programme moves the past-producing property from geological modelling and drill planning towards field testing. The announcement describes the intended start and does not report new drill assays.

New geological observations and laboratory results will be assessed alongside the existing project database. Americore intends to refine its geological model, support resource evaluation and prioritise later exploration. It plans to release assay results after receiving them and completing technical review.

The company cites approximately 36 million silver-equivalent ounces as a historical inferred estimate. This figure originates from an SRK Consulting report effective 20 December 2012 and incorporates silver, lead and zinc values. Silver-equivalent ounces combine metals using equivalence assumptions and are different from a measurement of contained silver alone.

The historical estimate supplies background to the exploration programme rather than a new estimate established by the planned drilling. New sampling and geological interpretation will be needed to assess the system further. The immediate milestone is execution of the field programme, followed by verified results and subsequent technical evaluation.
