Story details

Aurum Resources reported on 28 October that total mineral resources at its Boundiali gold project in Côte d’Ivoire had increased 19% to 3.84 million ounces. The updated estimate comprises 125.1 million tonnes at approximately 1.0 gram of gold per tonne, based on drilling completed by 30 September 2026.

The indicated category totals 71.5 million tonnes at 1.0 g/t for 2.33 million ounces, a 37% increase. Inferred resources total 53.6 million tonnes at 0.9 g/t for about 1.50 million ounces. The company notes that figures may not sum exactly because of rounding; the published total should be retained rather than recalculated from rounded components.

BMT2 contributes a maiden resource of 4.4 million tonnes at 0.9 g/t for 130,000 ounces, becoming the project’s seventh deposit with an established estimate. Infill drilling at BST1, BMT1 and BMT3 converted 0.62 million ounces from inferred to indicated classification. The estimate uses cut-offs of 0.42–0.45 g/t above 300 metres depth and 1.5 g/t below that level.

The existing probable ore reserve remains 42.1 million tonnes at 0.9 g/t for 1.21 million ounces, based on the April 2026 resource. Aurum intends to update it through the definitive feasibility study. The larger resource and increased indicated inventory may support that assessment, but they do not automatically increase ore reserves or establish production.
