Story details
Banyan Gold announced results on 28 October from six holes at the Airstrip deposit within its AurMac project in Yukon. Hole AX-26-921 returned several separate gold-bearing intervals, including 20.2 metres at 1.34 grams per tonne and 27.5 metres at 1.18 grams per tonne. These are distinct intersections, rather than one continuous interval.
The company interprets the results as extending mineralised domains within the gap between Airstrip and Powerline. Other holes tested higher-grade zones in central Airstrip, including AX-26-915, which returned 39.6 metres at 0.96 grams per tonne gold. The release covers new drilling evidence within a broader ongoing resource-development programme.
Headline intervals are measured along drillholes. Banyan provides approximate calculated true widths as percentages of those lengths, varying by hole; the calculation for AX-26-921 is 95%. Downhole length and estimated true thickness should therefore remain separate when comparing intersections.
Banyan plans further testing of mineralisation at depth and evaluation of higher-grade areas that could inform future studies. The results can refine geological interpretation and resource modelling, but do not by themselves establish an updated reserve, a final mine plan or a demonstrated operating production profile.
