Story details

Bold Ventures released preliminary channel-sampling results on 28 October from its Traxxin project, approximately 130 kilometres west-northwest of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Gold values from 30 samples ranged from 0.009 to 24.8 grams per tonne. Six samples exceeded 5 grams per tonne and eleven exceeded 1 gram per tonne.

The work involved mechanical stripping and sampling at the Traxxin Main Zone, targeting the up-dip projection of a gold-bearing quartz vein. These are surface channel samples rather than new drill intersections. Individual sample grades cannot be presented as the average grade of the entire shear zone or a defined mineral resource.

Additional stripping and sampling continued along the eastern side of the zone, with results for 84 more samples outstanding. Bold expects the complete dataset to assist in selecting subsequent drill targets. Samples were analysed at ActLabs in Thunder Bay, with control materials inserted into the sampling sequence.

The company also discussed road funding in the separate Ring of Fire region, where it holds mineral interests including a 10% carried interest in the Black Horse chromite deposit. Government infrastructure commitments concern regional roads rather than money paid to Bold. The Traxxin sampling results and those broader infrastructure developments therefore represent different kinds of project information.
