Story details
Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) recorded AED246 billion in trade across its three economic zones in the first half of 2026, up 17% from the same period a year earlier, according to figures reported by WAM on 18 October. Imports rose 14% to AED134.8 billion and re-exports increased 22% to about AED108.8 billion; direct exports were about AED2.4 billion.
DIEZ said the zones accounted for about 16% of Dubai’s non-oil trade, compared with 15.4% a year earlier. Reported trade volume was about 270,000 tonnes, versus about 298,000 tonnes in the first half of 2025. The figures cover the authority’s three zones and should not be read as total Dubai trade.
