Story details
The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and the World Green Economy Organisation (WGEO) will hold the 12th World Green Economy Summit at Dubai World Trade Centre on 21–22 October. The Emirates News Agency reported on 6 October that the theme is “From Success to Scale: Showcasing the Green Economy.”
The summit will address four main pillars: energy technology and infrastructure, business strategy and transition, water and food security, and finance. Artificial intelligence, governance and system enablers are cross-cutting themes.
Under energy technology and infrastructure, the programme will consider scaling clean power, the role of storage in renewable-system reliability, and how green hydrogen and nuclear energy contribute to a diversified energy mix. The summit also plans to discuss options for grid reliability and resilience.
This is the summit’s announced programme; the report does not announce a new project agreement or investment commitment. The source says DEWA and the named organisations are co-organising the event.
