The 12th World Green Economy Summit is scheduled for 21–22 October at Dubai World Trade Centre under the theme “From Success to Scale: Showcasing the Green Economy.” The 1 October announcement said the event is organised by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, DEWA and the World Green Economy Organization. Its four pillars are energy technology and infrastructure, business strategy and transition, water and food security, and finance.
The programme is also expected to address artificial intelligence, governance and system enablers. Organisers said sessions would consider how policy and regulation affect investment, how carbon markets influence trade and industry, and how climate agreements support the green economy. The summit is upcoming as of the source date; these are planned discussion topics, not outcomes already achieved. WAM also reported a GCC sustainable-finance market with ESG bonds and sukuk outstanding above US$70 billion.
