Story details

The European Banking Authority published its 2027 Work Programme on 30 September, after adoption by its Board of Supervisors the previous day. It groups work around efficiency, resilience and transformation and is intended to guide policy and supervisory deliverables.

Planned priorities include completing the 2024 banking package, preparing for a new payments framework, supporting crisis-management and deposit-insurance reforms, strengthening supervisory convergence and stress testing, and continuing work under DORA, MiCA and EMIR. The EBA says the plan retains flexibility for new mandates and changes in risks.
