Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk met Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank President Zou Jiayi on September 7 to discuss a stronger partnership for Egypt’s development and investment priorities. Kouchouk said Egypt wanted to expand cooperation on sustainable infrastructure designed to adapt to climate change.

The minister also raised green-transition projects, regional connectivity and transport initiatives. He said diversifying financing sources and instruments could support development while lowering costs, and described concessional finance from international institutions as a way to catalyze private investment.
