Story details

Electricity Minister Mahmoud Esmat met Nexus Analytica chief executive Wissam El-Baz on September 14 to review work on regulatory rules for Egypt’s electricity market. The discussion covered governance, transparency and energy-planning tools, including power-purchase agreements, renewable-plant performance and energy-efficiency monitoring.

The ministry said the next phase is to develop a framework consistent with Egyptian law while maintaining supply security.
