Egypt outlines digital platforms for investment procedures and licenses

Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid outlined investor-service reforms at a September 26 media briefing. The Capital Increase Procedures Platform was being tested ahead of launch, with the stated aim of simplifying capital increases and coordination among relevant authorities.
Farid said the Economic Entities Platform aims to connect 92 government entities and provide access to services covering around 486 licenses. He also described work to streamline procedures and amend company regulations on mergers, acquisitions and valuations.
