Story details

Emerald Resources published an exploration and resource drilling update on 28 October covering work during the quarter ended 30 September. The disclosure includes its wholly owned Okvau and Memot projects in Cambodia, Dingo Range in Western Australia and exploration at Snuol, where Emerald is earning up to a 70% interest.

At Okvau, drilling beneath the open pit returned 20 metres at 14.97 grams of gold per tonne from 523 metres in RCDD26OKV824W1, including five metres at 45.93 g/t from 527 metres. Other reported intervals include three metres at 8.49 g/t from 389 metres and one metre at 19.35 g/t from 735 metres in separate holes.

At Dingo Range, hole RCDD26BDY472 returned 2.1 metres at 101.02 g/t from 405 metres and a separate 39.7 metres at 2.13 g/t from 253.3 metres. The company is using infill and extension drilling to investigate resource confidence, open-pit extensions and possible underground development. These individual assays should not be read as average grades across entire deposits.

At Snuol, a 7,629.70-metre diamond programme was completed across Anchor and O Dach, which are being assessed as possible supplementary feed sources for the proposed Memot plant. Final assays from Memot’s close-spaced resource infill programme were also received. The results inform ongoing evaluation; potential feed sources and resource extensions still require technical assessment before becoming development commitments.
