Story details

Equinor reported on 28 October third-quarter net operating income of US$11.95 billion and net income of US$2.54 billion. Adjusted operating income was US$12.35 billion and adjusted net income US$2.86 billion. The adjusted measures follow the company’s non-GAAP definitions and are distinct from reported accounting results.

Total equity oil and gas production was 2.166 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, 2% above the same quarter of 2025. Equinor raised its expected full-year production growth from 3% to around 4%. That revised annual figure is guidance, while the quarterly output is a reported operating result.

The company linked the financial performance to higher liquids and European gas prices, alongside strong refining and trading activity. Cash flow from operations after taxes paid, on its stated adjusted basis, was US$8.14 billion. Organic capital expenditure was US$3.28 billion, compared with total capital expenditure of US$3.82 billion.

The board declared a third-quarter cash dividend of US$0.39 per share and approved a fourth buyback tranche of up to US$1.125 billion, including the Norwegian State’s proportional participation. The tranche is due to start on 29 October and finish by 1 February 2027. These capital distribution plans are separate from the quarter’s production and earnings.
