Story details
Ore Resources announced on 28 October an initial gold mineral resource estimate for Miriam within its Coolgardie projects in Western Australia. The estimate totals 2.8 million tonnes grading 1.7 grams of gold per tonne for approximately 153,000 contained ounces, using a 0.5 g/t cut-off. The flagship Forrest deposit accounts for about 147,000 ounces of that total.
The company said 35% of the resource is classified as indicated, equivalent to 0.94 million tonnes at 1.8 g/t for 53,370 ounces. Most contained ounces are within 100 metres of the surface, while the entire resource is within 220 metres. These are mineral resource classifications and depth descriptions, rather than an ore reserve or production commitment.
Separately, Ore reported a broader exploration target of 4.55 million to 5.8 million tonnes at 1.4–2.3 g/t, representing 200,000–400,000 ounces in addition to the resource estimate. The target is conceptual: exploration is insufficient to estimate a mineral resource for it, and further work may not establish one.
The company is considering commercial routes that could use nearby third-party processing facilities and reduce development complexity. Drilling is planned at Avoca, Mt Monger and Miriam during the final quarter of 2026, with results expected across that quarter and early 2027. Proximity to processing infrastructure offers options but does not amount to a processing agreement or completed development assessment.
