Story details

Orvana Minerals Corp. announced exploration and delineation drilling results from its wholly owned OroValle operating unit, encompassing the El Valle-Boinas and Carles gold-copper underground mines in Asturias, northern Spain. The drilling campaign covered operational activities executed during the second half of fiscal year 2026, ending 30 September 2026. Subsurface exploration successfully tested oxide and skarn mineralization extensions, demonstrating that key ore zones remain open along structural trends and at depth beneath current underground mining horizons.

At the El Valle-Boinas operation, underground diamond drilling totalled 6,537 metres across primary target sectors, including 5,687 metres drilled in Breccia East, 742 metres in Area 208 and 108 metres in Boinas East. Infill and brownfield drilling in Breccia East encountered exceptional high-grade gold-copper intercepts. Highlight hole 26BX1094 intersected 4.17 metres grading 39.85 grams per tonne gold and 0.34 percent copper from 135.0 metres, including a bonanza sub-interval of 1.33 metres grading 116.41 grams per tonne gold and 0.47 percent copper. Additional notable results included hole 26BX1118 with 15.08 metres at 10.68 grams per tonne gold, and hole 26BX1120 with 3.39 metres at 16.77 grams per tonne gold and 1.92 percent copper.

At the nearby Carles underground mine, diamond drilling totalled 1,197 metres in the Carles Northwest sector, comprising 1,046 metres of infill drilling and 151 metres of step-out brownfield exploration. The programme successfully traced the northeastern plunge of the skarn mineralised zone between the minus 35 and plus 50 elevation levels. Underground drilling confirmed the continuity of copper-gold mineralisation hosted in calcic skarn assemblages developed along carbonate-granodiorite contacts, opening additional operational mining blocks for future stoping.

The successful drilling results underscore OroValle's continuous resource replacement potential in a historic and stable European mining jurisdiction. Technical teams are incorporating the high-grade intercepts into revised mine production schedules and updated three-dimensional resource models. The ongoing exploration campaigns are structured to upgrade inferred mineral resources into measured and indicated categories, supporting long-term life-of-mine extensions and processing plant throughput at the centralised El Valle metallurgical facility.
