Story details

OGDCL reported a new development-well milestone at Bobi in Pakistan’s Sindh province on August 31. The company described the newly drilled Bobi-11 as having potential to produce 1,000 barrels per day of condensate and 1.0 million standard cubic feet per day of natural gas. Bobi is a wholly owned and operated OGDCL field in District Sanghar.

The company connected the development result with knowledge gained from the earlier Bobi Deep-1 discovery. Bobi-11 and Bobi Deep-1 are different named wells, so the new release should not be treated as another report of the same discovery or used to combine their stated rates into a field-production total.

The announcement describes potential rather than a documented sustained operating average. It does not specify Bobi-11’s test duration, choke setting, flowing pressure or water output. Those missing conditions limit comparisons with other wells. Subsequent testing and operating data would be needed to establish how the stated condensate and gas potential translates into continuing production.
