Qatar Central Bank announced a 25-basis-point increase in three policy rates after assessing current monetary conditions. The deposit rate rose to 4.10%, the lending rate to 4.60% and the repo rate to 4.35%.
QCB said the new rates would take effect on September 17, the day after its announcement. The common 25-basis-point increase corresponds to 0.25 percentage points for each of the three policy rates.
Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk met AIIB President Zou Jiayi on September 7. Egypt said it sought broader cooperation on climate-resilient infrastructure, green transition, regional connectivity and transport.
