Saudi Deputy Minister of Finance for International Relations Khalid Bawazier led the Kingdom’s delegation to the 17th Council of Arab Ministers of Finance meeting and a high-level roundtable in Abu Dhabi on September 28–29, the Saudi ministry reported on October 1. The delegation also attended the Arab Monetary Fund’s golden-jubilee celebration. Participants exchanged country experiences and reviewed papers from institutions including the World Bank and OECD.
Bawazier emphasized that sustainable infrastructure projects require integrated economic and financial feasibility studies, clear contractual frameworks, sound procurement and disclosure governance, and measurable performance indicators. He also described the World Bank as a knowledge resource for capacity building, preparing financeable infrastructure projects and sharing experience.
