Story details

Spark Energy Minerals released further Arapaima drilling results on 28 October, including eight holes at the Cruzeta target in Brazil. Hole ARA-RC-036 returned 52 metres from surface averaging 1,906 parts per million total rare-earth oxides, or TREO. A six-metre section within it averaged 3,740 parts per million.

ARA-RC-035 returned 76 metres from surface at 1,385 parts per million TREO. The eight Cruzeta holes were drilled within the previously reported target footprint, adding information inside that area rather than establishing a geographic expansion. Their spacing still leaves geological and grade continuity to be tested.

The reported intervals are lengths along vertical reverse-circulation holes. True widths remain unknown because the mineralisation’s orientation has not been established. Oxide concentrations describe analytical results in samples; they do not demonstrate how much rare-earth material could be extracted or sold.

Spark has not begun a mineral resource estimate and has reported no metallurgical recovery results. Further drilling and mineralogical and processing work are planned, with timing dependent on financing. The new assays support exploration targeting, while resource definition, recovery performance and economic viability remain unestablished.
