Subsea7 announced a Brunei Shell Petroleum pipeline-replacement contract on July 31. Scope includes EPCI of pipeline and riser systems in water depths up to 50 metres.
Replacement work is not full development of a new field. Technical assessment should separately plan existing connections, offshore operating windows and integrity testing. Shallow water still requires specific assessment of installation and access risks.
