Turkey’s consumer price index rose 1.84% in September from the previous month and 29.73% from a year earlier, the Turkish Statistical Institute said on 5 October. The index was up 24.32% from December 2025 and 31.49% on a twelve-month average basis.

Food and non-alcoholic beverage prices increased 27.62% year over year, transport 35.10%, and housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels 39.99%. Food prices slipped 0.20% month over month while transport rose 2.79%. TÜİK’s B core measure excluding unprocessed food, energy, alcohol, tobacco and gold increased 29.00% annually and 2.01% monthly.
