The UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology introduced Factory Forward UAE on 14 September as a national platform for industrial technology transformation. The initiative is intended to help manufacturers identify useful technologies, plan improvements and connect with technical experts, technology providers, training and finance. It brings existing support programmes together and is aimed at wider adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution tools, including artificial intelligence, in UAE factories.
The ministry said programmes within the wider ecosystem had supported more than 700 factories, while over 620 had been assessed through the Industrial Technology Transformation Index. Factory Forward is designed to support manufacturers at different stages and share examples of practical changes.
