Story details
The UAE’s Gasoline and Diesel Prices Follow-up Committee approved fuel prices for October 2026. According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on 30 September, the prices were set under the country’s monthly pricing mechanism, which reflects global energy price movements while meeting local market needs.
The October prices per litre are AED 4.40 for Super 98, AED 4.28 for Special 95, AED 4.21 for E-Plus 91 and AED 4.80 for diesel.
According to Khaleej Times’ report on September prices, a litre of Super 98 cost AED 3.80 in September, Special 95 AED 3.69, E-Plus 91 AED 3.61 and diesel AED 4.30. That puts the increase at 59–60 fils a litre for petrol grades (about 16%) and 50 fils for diesel (about 11.6%).
The committee’s statement does not separately quantify the reasons for the increase; prices are reset each month under the same mechanism.
