Story details
GCC-Stat data reported on 18 October put industrial investment across Gulf Cooperation Council states at about US$426 billion, with nearly 22,000 factories and more than 1.7 million sector workers. Latest available figures cited were as of July 2026.
Manufacturing contributed about 13% of GCC GDP in 2025, while industrial products represented about 69% of exports. These are regional totals, not UAE-only figures; the report also noted differences among member states.
GCC-Stat said about 40% of industrial investment is concentrated in key industries including plastics, refined petroleum products, aluminium, gaseous fuels, and iron and steel. This is a regional investment composition, not production or commodity-price data.
