The UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism and Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone signed a memorandum of understanding on 19 October to improve access to trademark and investment services. Under the agreement, the free zone can make the ministry’s trademark registration service available to its customers on request.
The cooperation also covers technical guidance, staff training and joint awareness activities. The ministry said it registered 17,230 national and international trademarks in the first half of 2026; this is a reported ministry figure, separate from the new service arrangement.
