UK producer input prices rose 6.1% in the year to August 2026, while factory-gate output prices increased 3.7%, the Office for National Statistics reported. The respective annual rates in July were revised to 5.8% and 3.3%.

On the month, input prices rose 0.3% and output prices 0.7%. Refined petroleum products were a major factor in the increase in output prices; the latest 12 months of these producer-price estimates remain subject to revision.
