Story details
Vior Gold Corporation announced initial results from its Kinebik project in Quebec on 28 October. At Cameron Main, hole KN-26-002 returned 3.03 grams per tonne gold over 4.6 metres from 709.4 metres downhole. The intersection lies at approximately 590 metres vertical depth, making the downhole and vertical measurements distinct.
At Florence, KN-26-008 intersected 5.32 grams per tonne over 2.5 metres from 88.0 metres downhole, including 19.2 grams per tonne over 0.6 metres. KN-26-016 returned 2.01 grams per tonne over 8.8 metres in altered, brecciated granodiorite. Vior describes the latter as a previously unrecognised mineralisation style at Florence.
The programme completed 8,596 metres between July and September, comprising 5,367 metres at Cameron Main and 3,229 metres at Florence. Results for 1,525 samples had been received, while 6,359 remained pending. True widths are estimated at 65–80% of reported core lengths, and the available assays represent only part of the completed work.
Kinebik is covered by an asset purchase agreement with Agnico Eagle. Vior expects to hold a 100% interest after the transaction closes, which it anticipates before the end of 2027. That future ownership position remains conditional on completion; the new assays provide exploration evidence without establishing a completed acquisition or a new mineral reserve.
